Melissa "Missy" Miller was born at Oak Hill Hospital on February 21, 1959 to the late Brinton and Norma (Radabaugh) Hughes. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 10 at 11:15 p.m., 2018.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gina Adkins; brothers, Brinton Hughes Jr. and Jimmy Hughes; and father-in-law, Ralph Miller Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband, of forty-one years, Ralph Miller Jr. She is also survived by sister, Brenda (Ron) Malone; brother, Randy (Bonita) Hughes and children, Jessica (Jason) Bates, Jeremy (Sarah) Miller, Joseph "Joey" (Desiree) Miller; and her mother-in-law, Zue Miller.
She was a loving Mamaw to eight grandchildren; Alissa "Lissy" Bates, Noah Bates, Isaac Bates, Marcel Collins, Quentin Miller, Carmelo Miller, Anaya Miller, and Andre Miller. She also left behind several nieces and nephews including special nephews, Randy Lee Hughes, and Justin Hughes.
Missy was a life-long homemaker. She especially loved the holidays when she was surrounded by family. She loved cooking for them as well as baking Christmas cookies, decorating, and assembling gingerbread houses. She loved life and spent the last several years enjoying her family and grandchildren. She loved tending to her garden and cleaning. She will be sorely missed, but we take comfort knowing she rests in the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ, and that she's whole again.
