Theodore “Ted” N. Snyder, age 88, of Oak Hill, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his home. He was born March 22, 1930 in Chillicothe to the late Robert and Ruhey (Sharp) Snyder.

He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Vonda (Christian) Snyder, of Oak Hill; children, Teddy Snyder Jr. (Dee Chapman), of Plain City, Ohio, Tony (Donna) Snyder, of Jackson, Brenda (Mike) Corbin, of Oak Hill and Doug Snyder, of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Destry, Shawn, Cordella, Christopher and Ryan. Also surviving are 14 great grandchildren, his half siblings, Harlan (Janet) Snyder, Kenny (Rose) Snyder and Marilyn (Herbie) Adkins and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Gloria Bentley and Weldon Snyder.

He graduated from Oak Hill High School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1950-1953. He then worked for General Motors and retired after 30 years.

Friends may call Monday, May 14, 2018 from 12-2 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held immediately following the calling hours at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Travis Potts officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery.
