Melissa Dawn Breer, age 51, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband and loved ones. She was born January 16th, 1973, in Springfield, Ohio to Ted and Melody (Carpenter) Dingus.
Melissa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an extremely hard worker who loved taking care of everyone. One of Melissa's biggest joys in her life was her grandchildren, whom she was extremely proud of. She spent many years chasing after them, telling them stories, and singing. Her favorite song to sing with her grandchildren was You are My Sunshine.
Melissa never met a child that didn't immediately call her mom. She had many, many children that she loved and cared for daily. In her free time, she loved to fish and brag about how many she caught. She also loved spending time with her family.
Melissa is survived by her husband of 20 years, Dennis Yost; her children: Marlissa (Dustin) Stewart, Geraldine (John) Byrd, Richard Oren Jr., Jesse (Tori) Breer, Bret (Rayanna) Breer, Paulina (Chris) Jones, and Dennis (Destiny) Yost; 17 grandchildren; her sisters: Tammy (Larry) Wright, Jamie (Richard) O'Brien, Dawn (William) Shull, and Mandy Garringer; her brothers: Adam (Christina) Wright, Mark (Sharonah) Fowler, and Kyle (Jaisi) Fowler; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved dog, Spike.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 9th, 2024, from 5-7PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will follow at 7PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
