L. Eileen Booth, age 93, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 25th, 2025, at her home. She was born April 27th, 1932, in Jackson County, Ohio to George and Melissa (Sinclair) McGinnis.

Eileen was a graduate of Jackson High School.  After graduation, she worked as an operator at General Telephone. Her hobbies are well known from her specialty cake decorating and Christmas cookies to crocheting outfits for babies in the church. She was the first meals on wheels to shut-ins and neighbors.

She is survived by her daughters, Melanie (Brian) McDonald and Debbie (Mike) Johnson; grandchildren and great-great grandchildren: Tiffany Downey, Morgan Johnson, Matthew (Victoria) Johnson, Triston Lee, Sydney Downey (Matthew), and the newest great-great-granddaughter, Corey Jade Gilliland; her sisters, Georgeann Hawker and Imogene Miller; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Eileen was met by her husband, Jim Booth; her infant son, Michael Lane; grandson, Jason Lee; parents, George and Melissa McGinnis; siblings; and several other loved ones and friends.

To this end, the family of Eileen Booth would like to recognize the compassion and comfort care provided to our mom during her time of need by the Adena Hospice team. Thank you so much!

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 30th, 2025, from 12PM-1PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a service beginning at 1PM with Rev. Wendell Vermillion officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
