Pearl Lorene Gregory Jenkins went home to be with the Lord January 30th, 2017. She was born April 15th, 1936 to Edith Roberts Gregory and Howard Gregory.

Pearl Lorene Gregory married Charles Gilbert (Buck) Jenkins on December 6th, 1952.

She is survived by her children, Tom (Sherri) Jenkins, Lorrie (Emery Bud) Perry, Brent (Missy) Jenkins, Brad (Brenda) Jenkins, Charles D. Jenkins, and Cindy (Tim) Case. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, a niece, Amy Mayfield and nephew, Harold Gregory.

She is preceded in death by husband, Charles Gilbert Jenkins; mother, Edith; father, Howard; step-father, Wayne Rush; brother, Harold Gregory; daughters, Terry Harris and Lisa Jenkins; granddaughter, Gretchen Duncan; and great-grandsons: Tanner, Kenyon, Broderick & Braylon Harris, Ryan Woodard, Caden David Jenkins, and Waylon Coughenour.

Pearl was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She taught Sunday School at Wills Chapel Church in Wellston and Beaver United Methodist Church. She was involved as a youth leader at the Nazarene Church and Trinity Chapel in Jackson, Ohio. She spent time cooking for Jackson County 4-H camp and working part-time as a nursing assistant. She along with her husband, Buck operated Jenkins Welding and Rental in Jackson, Ohio for many years.

Pearl had a heart for the youth and loved spending time with them and sharing her faith. She dedicated her life to raising her children and teaching them Godly ways, and carried that tradition on by example and by sharing that with everyone she met.

Pearl enjoyed hummingbirds, fishing, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed journaling, sewing, making homemade noodles and light rolls for church events. She loved the Lord and was passionate about her faith. She always took up for the person who wasn’t there and always said “Pray about it”. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 3rd, 2017 from 4-8pm at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Jorge Anido and Evangelist Tim Case officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
