William “Russ” Bloomfield, age 66, of Oak Hill, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 30, 2022. He was born April 1, 1956, in Oak Hill to the late Ward and Eva (Woods) Bloomfield.
Russ is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Diana Bloomfield; daughters, Missy King (Matt Sowers), Wendy Moore, Michelle (Josh) Landrum; and sons, Robert (Christy) Bush and Rusty Bloomfield. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Hunter, Shirley Porter, Edith Dickens, Juanita Newman, Linda Bloomfield, and Vickie Welch; brother, Robert Bloomfield; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Tom Bloomfield; special nephew, Scottie Roach; and special cousin, Larry Woods.
Russ enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he enjoyed his times with his family and friends.
Public visitation will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 11-1 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00. Burial will follow in Gallia Baptist Cemetery.
