Virgil Eugene McCain, age 100, passed away Monday, February 14th, 2022, at his home. He was born November 26th, 1921, in Firebrick, Ohio to the late Rev. Peter and Francis (Oliver) McCain.
He is survived by his children: Donna Dunn of Columbus, Ohio, Darrell McCain of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Patty Evans of Jackson, Ohio; four grandchildren: Paula Gibson of Jackson, Ohio, Pamela Bock of Jackson, Ohio, Claudia Gillispie McKinnis of Jackson, Ohio, and Dena Dunn of Columbus, Ohio; great-grandson, Dillon Accord of McArthur, Ohio; and great-granddaughters, Brittany Gibson of Glenroy, Ohio and Jordan Gibson of Jackson, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth McCain; daughter, Billie Jo Gillispie; grandchildren, Scott Dunn and Todd Dunn; and great-great-grandfather, Hudson Ireland.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend thanks to Holzer Hospice for their care and support.
