Rowena (Nance) Oliver Dodridge, age 81, of Oak Hill went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Ayden Healthcare of Jackson. She was born March 13, 1941, in Oak Hill to the late Donald and Lena (Woods) Nance.
She is survived by her husband James Dodridge, of Oak Hill; daughters, Cathy Eggers, Lora (Dwight) Woods, of Oak Hill; granddaughter, Robin Jones; great grandchildren, Scarlett and Grayden Jones.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Bob” Nance; and sisters, Evelyn Dickens Bonnie Adkins, and Joann Snyder.
Rowena attended Jefferson School. She was a homemaker who loved shopping and talking. She never met a stranger and could talk to anyone.
Visitation will be 4-8 Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 16, 2022, with Pastor Bryon Carmon officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
