Roger Dale Miller Sr., age 55, of Oak Hill, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at his home. He was born May 22, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio to Zue A. (Rawlins) Miller and the late
Ralph E. Miller Sr.
Roger is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda (Beaver) Miller, of Oak Hill; son Roger (R.D.) Miller Jr., of Oak Hill; daughter, Ashley Hilderbrant, of Oak Hill; siblings, Ralph Miller Jr., of Oak Hill and Richard Miller, of Columbus; sister-in-law, Diana (Johnny) Nuce, of Gallipolis; niece, Aayla Nuce; brother-in-law, Matthew (Brandy) Beaver, of Point Pleasant; nephews, Cody, Colton and Braydon; his puppy, Penny Jane.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Paul and Linda Beaver.
Roger and Linda met in 1982 in high school. They dated for 13 years until their marriage on April 29, 1993. They had their son R.D. Miller on November 30, 1995. Roger worked in the logging, stucco, and factory fields throughout his life. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Greenfield Township Fire Dept. from the late 1980’s to the late 90’s. He was a member of Peniel Church. He was a loving husband, a great father and a good friend to many.
Friends may call Friday, August 27, 2021, from 3-5 & 7-9 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the funeral home with Rev. David Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Gallia Baptist Cemetery.
