Robert Gerald Norman Jr., age 55, of Jackson went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 1, 2021 after a long, courageous battle with Covid-19. He was born in Columbus, Ohio to Janet (Sexton) Norman and the late Robert Norman Sr.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tami (Williams) Norman, of Jackson; children, Ashley (Jeff) Remy, of Jackson and D.J. (Renea) Norman; grandchildren, Sophia Remy, Dylan and Kenzie Remy; grandson on the way, Greyson Robert Norman; sister, Shari (Norman) Queen, of Heath, Ohio; nephew, Bradley (Emily) Queen, of Zanesville, Ohio; close family friend, Ric Allison, of Vinton county.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Chris Williams.

Rob graduated from Wellston High School in 1983. He then met the love of his life, Tami. They married in 1988 and then had two children, Ashley and D.J. He was a loyal employee of the City of Jackson for almost 18 years. While working for the city, the whole community of Jackson began to know him and love him for his kindness and willingness to help anyone in need. He was a gentle giant of a man, with an even a bigger heart. Rob and Tami were more than just husband and wife, they were and are soulmates. You never mentioned one without the other. He adored his children and granddaughter. He was an absolute family man by all definition. He loved being a pap, riding his motorcycle and mowing his grass multiple times a week. Rob was a good son, he adored his mother and cared for her well. He was an avid Ohio State fan and loved to watch wrestling. He was a walking billboard for Elevate Ministries and by definition he was "Christlike". 15 years ago Rob and Tami walked into the Elevate Ministries and together they made an instant impact by serving faithfully and loyally in any capacity they could. Rob didn't just go to church, this man, well, he's the definition of being the hands and feet of Christ. He will be dearly missed by his family and his church friends and family.
