Peggy Joan (Fisher) Bloomfield passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from a battle with cancer. She was born November 21, 1957, in Oak Hill, to the late Eugene and Gladys (Davis) Fisher.
She is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Bloomfield; and her brother-in-law, Wesley Canter; her three children: Zak (Stacy) McCain, of Oak Hill, Meagan McCain, of Oak Hill, and Cody McCain, of Oak Hill; her granddaughters, Kylie McCain and Charlotte Jo Wandling, of Oak Hill; and her 19-year-old dog, “Wiener”, who she loved very much. She is also survived by her special nephew, Tommy Carter; and niece, Mandy (Danny) Ratliff; great nieces Haley Ratliff and DJ Canter; and great nephews, Jason Ratliff, Ethan Ratliff, and Lucas Ratliff; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and adopted grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harry Paul Reed, John McGowan, Jack Reed, Elmer Fisher, Danny Fisher, Ernie Fisher, Henry Fisher, Charlie Fisher, and Ricky Rainer; and sister, Patty Rainer.
Peggy was a Christian woman, who loved attending her Oak Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She could always be heard singing and praising God every chance she got. She was known for her kindness, especially towards children.
Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 2:30-4:30 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow at 4:30 with Pastor Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
