Maudie Marie (Hammond) Pinkerman, age 72, of Gallipolis, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 13th, 2023, at Holzer Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. She was born February 10th, 1951, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Morgan and Zelda (Roese) Hammond.

Maudie was an employee of Electro Craft of Gallipolis for 45 years. She loved the Buckeyes and tending to her flowers. She was a kind and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Pinkerman; her children: Julie (James) Dempsey, Tammy (Robert) Shirkey, and Qwendy Pinkerman; grandchildren: Zachary Shirkey, Jeremy (Mallory) Dempsey, Nathan Shirkey, Levi Dempsey, Tiffany Shirkey (Jacob Bowles), Makaela Dempsey (Kyle McClaskey), Jordan Dempsey (Jenny Vanover), and Bryce Mcbrayer; great-grandchildren: Faith Shirkey, Aniya Dempsey, Cason Dempsey, Paisley Dempsey; siblings, Brenda (Jackie) Lewis and Morgan (Cathy) Hammond; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maudie was preceded in death by her sister, Dora Lee Davis; and brothers, Frank Hammond, Haydon Hammond, and an infant brother.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023, from 6-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 17th, 2023, at 12PM with Pastor Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow at Gallia Baptist Cemetery.
