Matthew William Browning, age 36, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 22, 2022. He was born February 27, 1986, in Athens, Ohio to Cheryl (Lewis) and the late Roger Browning.
Matt was a member of the Community of Christ Church and loved spending time at Camp Bountiful Church Camp. He worked for Frontier Communications in Scioto County.
Matthew enjoyed talking to everyone and making people laugh. He had a big heart and always found a way to be a support to anyone that needed him. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his girls, “Bobcat” and “Charlie girl”.
He is survived by his mother, Cheryl (Kenny) Browning Warner; his children, Bobbie Jo and Charlie Victoria Browning; his siblings, Melanie (James Kille) Browning, Russell Campillo, Jennifer Durham, and Kenny Matt Warner; nieces and nephews, Jhediah Bragg, Paul Bragg III, and Dylan Durham; his lifetime partner in crime, Bethany (Rob) Allyn; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his father Roger Browning, Matthew is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, and special cousin, Jarod Snyder.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses that cared for Matt at OSU James Medical Center CCU. Their care for everyone involved was amazing.
Visitation hours will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 2-6 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 6:00 with Elder Travis Hunt officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
