Our family sadly lost a pillar on July 30, 2022, when Mary Jane Wolford passed away from long term illnesses. Her contributions to the lives of our family can never be replaced. Mary was born on March 7, 1953, in Red Jacket, West Virginia, to the late Roscoe Baisden and Rose (Blair) Jordan.


She is survived by her loving husband Halsey Wolford; three children, David Wolford (Aenoy David Fritchithavong), Davalene (Dennis) Workman, and Linda (Jack) Miles; five grandchildren: Trisha, Erica, Cody, Todd, and Tiffany. Mary was also blessed with great grandchildren: Raine Noelle, Darren, Travis, Dalton, Ariah, Tobias, and Alyson; siblings: Patricia, Madalene, Pauline, Pearley, Loretta, Nancy, Sharon, Paul, and Charles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.


In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Phoebe Alice Hamilton; a husband of 34 years, Reverend David Wolford Sr.; siblings: Kenny Blair, Henry David Jordan, Billie Baisden, Della Blankenship, and Shirley Blair; and many other family members.


Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone that knew her.


Visitation will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Leon May officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
