Little did we know on the the day of May 27th, 2022, God was going to take our angel, Maranda Leigh Riffe home. Maranda passed peacefully in her mother’s arms at the age of 23.

Maranda was born February 2nd, 1999, in Columbus, Ohio.

God, please take care of my little girl the one with the beautiful smile and soft brown hair. She was special, as you should know. I didn’t want to let her go.

Maranda is survived by her mother, Angela (Riffe) Crabtree of Gallipolis, Ohio; sister, Tabitha Crabtree, of Gallipolis, Ohio; grandparents, Bonnie and Larry Laudermilt of Jackson, Ohio; great aunt, Betty Clark; great aunt, Vicky (Carl) Coy; as well as several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

God has already called home her grandfather, Greg Grady; great-grandparents, Walter and Luna Riffe and Royce and Jane Horton; uncles, Reford Riffe, Ronald Riffe, Doug Grady, and Frank Grady; and several cousins all of whom were standing at Heaven’s gates welcoming her with open arms.

Maranda enjoyed country music, ACDC, and loved playing with blocks and balls. She loved the outdoors especially camping, being around the campfire, and taking walks. Maranda will be remembered by all those who knew and loved her for her beautiful smile.

The family would like to extend special love and thanks to Aunt Virginia and Uncle Buster DeMoss.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022, from 11-1PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1PM with burial to follow at Rutland Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.

Keep my memory with you,

For memories never die

I will be with you,

When you look across the sky.

I will be there in the clouds,

In the birds that fill the air;

In the beauty of a fragrant rose,

You will find me there.

You will hear me if you listen

In the twilight's gentle hush.

When your hearts are heavy,

And you feel like you're alone;

Just reach down deep inside of yourself

For your heart is now my home.

I will always be with you,

I will never go away;

I will live on in your hearts forever.
