Linda L. Canter, age 69 of Oak Hill passed away December 28 at Holzer Medical Center - Gallipolis, surrounded by her family. Linda was born May 27, 1952, in Bloom Township, Ohio at home to the late Harold and Opal (Lowder) Cook. Linda was a graduate of South Webster High School.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Carl Canter; children: David (Tish) Canter, Krista (James) Wallace, Yvonne (Michael) Blackburn and Curtis Canter, all of Oak Hill; siblings: Kay Wagner, of Wheelersburg, and James and Howard Cook, both of Franklin Furnace; grandchildren: Becki (Todd) Snyder, Detty (Ashley) Adkins, David (Tosha) Canter, Alex (Faith) Woolever, Tyler Canter, Brandon Woolever, Kyle Woolever, Macie Blackburn, Aaron Canter and Sophie Canter, all of Oak Hill, Stephanie (Larry) Osbourne and Katie (Dan) Helton, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Also surviving are great grandchildren: Haylee, Alexus, Emma, Caleb, Kyle, Eli, Evan, Zayden, Kynslee, Trenton and Myles and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters: Evelyn McIntosh and Margaret Cook and brother, Alfred Cook.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved camping with her family, doing crafts, making scrapbooks and coloring. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and spoiling her cat Homie. Linda will be missed dearly by her family, friends and all those who knew her.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill from 11-1 with funeral services immediately following at 1 PM with Pastor Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
