Lawrence W. “Rosie” Rosenberger, age 80, passed away on Friday evening, September 29, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born December 10, 1942, in Jackson to the late Homer and Margaret (Grover) Rosenberger.


He is survived by his children, Myron (Kathy) Rosenberger, Robert (Diane) Rosenberger, Blaine (Patricia) Rosenberger, Anthony (Lora) Rosenberger, and Sheila (Jarrod) Rowe; grandchildren, Levi (Adrianna), Brody (Sierra), Mitchell (Tina), Kasey, Jared, Garrett, Toby (Kara) Akers, Mike, Erica, and Hannah; extended granddaughters, Kaytlyn, Kerrigan, Connor, Bailey and Jane; great grandchildren, Logan Rose, Torsten, Juniper, Bryson, Bradyn, Ariana, Lilly, Kaydence, Aubrey, Kinsley, Oakley, River, and Jonas; and his brother, John Allen Rosenberger


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Ann “Rose” (Belcher) Rosenberger; sister, Margaret Evelyn Mullins and Mary Levell.


Lawrence was a United States Air Force veteran, serving in the early 1960’s in California as a petroleum technician. He drove a fuel truck and helped fuel B-52’s, and multiple other aircraft. After his military service, he met and married the love of his life, Rose (Belcher) in 1966 and together they moved to Michigan and started their family. Late in the 60’s they would come back home to Jackson. He worked at Grant Trucking for several years and Daniel’s Trucking, eventually landing at Tuttle Trucking. He was one of the founding members of the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department, and helped construct the first fire station located on Harrison Rd in Liberty Twp. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. In his earlier years, he loved to street ride and trail ride on his motorcycle with his group of friends. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren, any time spent with them was very special to him. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved his mowers and mowing grass. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and former coworkers.


Visitation hours will be Monday, October 2, 2023, from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 12:00 at the funeral home with military honors.
