Kenneth Dwight Mercer, age 83, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, at Holzer of Gallipolis. He was born August 15th, 1938, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Earl and Hazel (Stiffler) Mercer.
He is survived by his wife, Roxie (Hood) Mercer; his children, Pamela Evans (Jim Hickey), Lori (Bruce) Schaffner, and David Mercer; grandchildren, Hannah Kitts and Holly Hickey; great-grandchildren: Addison Hickey, Ace Hickey, and Rowdy Kitts; and brother, John Mercer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Adam Mercer and daughter-in-law, Renee Mercer.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 8th, 2022, at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson from 6:00 PM-6:45 PM with an Elks service beginning at 6:45 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 9th, 2022, at 1PM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Jackson. Private burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
