John Edward “Butch” McGowan, age 68, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Friday, January 6th, 2023, at his home. He was born October 9th, 1954, in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Clarence and Marcella (Jenkins) McGowan.
Butch is survived by his siblings: Cathy (Ricky) Boyd of Jackson, Ohio, Vicky (Danny) Ray of Jackson, Ohio, Lynn McGowan of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Henry Mac (Burnetta) McGowan of Jackson, Ohio; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and brothers, Keith and Clarence McGowan.
Butch attended Oak Hill High School. He enjoyed fishing. If you were lucky enough to be his friend, you were privileged.
