Jessie “Binky” Dunaway, age 55, passed away Saturday, June 24th, 2023. He was a rebel, and true to his roots, but when you needed help, a lending hand, or anything else he was always there. Being one of five brothers, we argued, got mad, and fought but when all was said and done, we always had each other’s backs. Jessie was a hard worker, even after becoming disabled from being hit by a car. He would absolutely give you the shirt off his back.
Jessie was like the character Briar from the Next of Kin movie…a long haired , ponytailed, back woods country guy. He loved kids and though he never had any of his own he had some he raised and called his.
He is survived by his dad, Clarence Dunaway; brothers, Allen Dunaway, Terry (Sharon) Dunaway, Leroy (Cherie) Dunaway, and Jimmy (Heather) Dunaway; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Our beloved brother is dearly loved and will be missed as he goes to Heaven to be with our mother, Goldie Dunaway and nephew, Matthew Dunaway as well as other family members who have gone on before him. Fly high brother and we will see you someday. We love you!
