Jeri Nicole Manering-Gomez, daughter of Deanna and Kenneth Remines and JC and Debbie Manering, born August 27, 1981, lost her battle to addiction on April 20,2022.

Nicole is survived by husband, Edwin Gomez; her daughter, Claudia (Kenneth) Trimble; her son, Kade Gomez; grandsons, Daxton and Braylon Trimble; her siblings, Craig (Rebecca) Remines, Brittany (Mark) Remines, and Jake (Brittney) Manering ; step siblings, Chad (Brittny) Knittel, Chasity (Evan) Knittel, and Caleb (Veronica) Knittel. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that love her dearly; grandparents, Merrill and Janet Dunn; aunts, uncles, and so many friends.

She is preceded in death by her infant son, Javian Reese Manering.

Nicole had a great sense of adventure and is known to always lend a helping hand to anyone without judgement. Nicole always knew how to make people laugh. She loved all types of music and poetry. She loved her family, her friends and animals and they equally loved her. Animals sense the character of person, and they loved her. She was a people pleaser and loved waitressing. Her heart was a kind one. She had dreams for herself and her family and continued to believe in a better life, but the drugs refused to let go of the hold they had on her. We pray that she has finally found the peace that she could not reach in this life, but she never gave up hope that a better future was almost within her reach. She will be missed by all who have known her.

Private arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral of Jackson. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
