Jeffrey “Lightening” Clyde Adkins, age 60, of Coal Grove, Ohio and formerly of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 8th, 2023, at Kings Daughter’s Medical Center of Ashland, Kentucky. He was born September 22nd, 1962, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Junior and Marcella (Snyder) Adkins.
Jeff enjoyed riding his Gold Wing, driving his big trucks, and traveling with his wife, Donna.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Hieronimus) Adkins of Coal Grove, Ohio; brother, Dean (Donna) Snyder of Oak Hill, Ohio; sister, Janice (Marvin) Dearing of Jackson, Ohio; daughter, Jessica Lawler (Matt Rhodes) of Patriot, Ohio; two sons: Zachary (Kayla) Hieronimus of Pedro, Ohio and Justin Adkins of Springfield, Ohio; as well as a host of grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his best friend and coffee drinking buddy, Jim Martin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila Adkins; brother, Rudy Snyder; sister, Gale Snyder.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 13th, 2023, from 12-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow at 2PM with Rev. Fred Crabtree officiating.
