Jamie Rae Mathews, age 42, of Wellston, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 14th, 2023, at her residence after a brief illness. She was born July 7th, 1981, in Gallipolis, Ohio to Linda (Kelley) Miller and the late John McGowan.

Jamie enjoyed planting flowers, mowing, and working in her yard. Her family will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Mathews; children: Kassie McElfresh, Emma McGowan, John McGowan, Kayla Mathews, and Brittany Mathews; grandchildren: Malia, Zella, Jayden, and Carson; sister, Tiffany Kenny; as well as her in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, John C. McGowan.
