Ilo June Knotts, age 99, passed away Tuesday, December 5th, 2023, at the Four Winds Community of Jackson. She was born April 23rd, 1924, in Jackson, Ohio, the oldest of twelve children, to the late Kelley and Ada (Humphries) Wasmer.
Ilo was a graduate of Jackson High School class of 1942.
She is survived by her children: Don Hatten and Kelley (Darlene) Hatten; grandson, Kurt (Stacey) Shelton; great-grandson, Sam Shelton; stepdaughters, Kathy Ganino, Karen Tucker, and Gretchen Crossby; siblings: Caralee Moser, Shirley Bowman, Bob (Tish) Wasmer, Sue Barnett, and Toni Miller; and brother-in-law, Bill Shelton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Hatten, whom she married right out of high school; second husband, Richard "Dick" Knotts; daughter, Rita Hatten; sisters, Luetta (Pink) Galbraith, Jeannie (Bill) Foster, and Sandy Shelton; brothers: Danny, Joe, and Bill (Judy) Wasmer; and nieces, Sue Ellen Rapp and Regina Shelton Yerian; and nephew, D.B. Galbraith.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 12PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
