Hazel Imogene (Gillum) Ward, age 94, of Jackson died peacefully Sunday March 14, 2021 at home. She was born September 5, 1926 in Green, Kentucky to the late Lindsey and Cora (Miller) Gillum.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Gordon) Woosley, Kathy (Lamar) Callahan, Jane (Brian) Watters; six grandsons; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, of 64 years, Norman Ward; brothers, Perry (Buck) Gillum, James Gillum and Earl Gillum; and sister, Helen Leienberger.
She loved square dancing, traveling, playing cards, working puzzles, reading and being with family and friends. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church; Wagon Wheelers Square Dance Club.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 11-1 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 with Rev. Karen Farr officiating. Burial will follow at Horeb cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
