Glata Marie (Jenkins) Holl, age 101, of Oak Hill, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at her home in Oak Hill with her family by her side. She was born June 23, 1922, in Peniel to the late Walter “Shorty” and Della (Phillips) Jenkins.
She is survived by her nieces, Linda (Jim) Adkins, Deborah Hunt, and Gwyneth Cardinis; nephew, Charles Jenkins; several great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and great great great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William “Bill” Holl; siblings, Ray Jenkins, and Mildred “Mickey” Hughes; and nephews, Larry Blanton; and nephew-in-law, Carl Hunt.
Marie graduated from school at Blackfork, at the age of 16. She then moved to Columbus, where she was an executive secretary for Midland Life. She never had kids, however, she took good care of her nieces, nephews, and great, great great and great great great nieces and nephews. All of her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews love her dearly and will miss her very much. She was the glue that held the family together. Her radiant smile and her love for life will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 19, 2024, at C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. She will be carried to her final resting place by her great nephew, Spencer Hunt, great nephew-in-law, Joe Rife, great great nephews, Gage, Cade and Morgan Hickman and Jordan Rife.
