Garland “Hughie” Lambert Jr., age 79, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, at his home. He was born January 18th, 1944, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Garland Hugh Sr. and Freda (Landrum) Lambert.
Hughie was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He always kept busy and enjoyed tinkering in his garage building things. He had a love for old cars, gardening, and watching old westerns.
He is survived by his wife, Anna (Johnson) Lambert; daughter, Rhonda (Brian) McWhorter; grandchildren: Brianna Renee Taylor (Brian Wilbur), Jason Bryant (Chantelle) McWhorter; and Aaron Hugh McWhorter (Jody Bradford); great-grandchildren: Eli Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Bryce Wilbur, Azalea McWhorter, Saria McWhorter, Zevran McWhorter; Victoria McWhorter, and Nicholas McWhorter; sister, Larita Cook; brothers, Marvin Lambert and Jerry (Eva) Lambert; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, from 12-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will follow at 2PM with a burial after at Salem Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
