Evelyn Reichelderfer, age 70, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 19, 2024, with many family members at her side. She was born in Letcher Co. to the late Urias and Estelle Hal.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Reichelderfer, of 52 years who loved and took care of her until the very end.
Evelyn leaves behind her children, Kellie Reichelderfer and Tiffany O’Dell; grandsons, Ty, Evan and Abyl, whom she enjoyed her time with; sister, Glenda (the late Don) Frase, of Lancaster, Ohio; brother, Urias Jr. (Annette) Hall, of Jackson. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Hicks.
Evelyn was a graduate of Jackson High School. She was an avid line dancer with membership in the Wranglers Line Dancing Club of Wellston. She was a demo lady in many stores for more than 25 years. She also was a member and inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed collecting crystal, glassware, and figurines. Her love for the mountains and the people of Kentucky, where she was born, continued throughout her life, and she enjoyed Flea Marketing while in Kentucky.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM with her brother, Urias Hall Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
