Elma Darlene (Tomblin) Beaver, age 91, passed away peacefully after a brief stay at Holzer Medical Center of Gallipolis. She was born June 17th, 1932, in Logan, West Virginia to the late Ebb and Mary (Workman) Tomblin.


Elma was a graduate of Fairmount High School. She was not only a homemaker, but she also worked on the family-owned dairy farm. She was known as a hard worker and a great cook but will also be remembered as being a surrogate mother to a multitude of children down through the years. Elma was a member of Paul’s Chapel United Baptist Church.


Elma is survived by her daughters, Pam (Jerry) Morgan and Janet (Stephen) Haley; grandchildren: Kristoffer Ryan (Bethany) Penix, Jeremy Bentley, Jerrold Morgan, Steve (Amy) Haley, Brian (Kristina) Haley, Matthew (Jessica) Haley, and Patrick (Melissa) Haley; great-grandchildren: Ayden, Lily, Luke, Steven, Madison, Hannah, Caleb, Samantha, Ali, Alex, Landon, Emma, Kaylee, Ashley, and Elan; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Ginny (Vince) Haley and Angie (Rob) Williams; as well as numerous other extended family members.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Beaver and sister, Nellie (Tomblin) Cummons.


Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 21st, 2023, from 12-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a funeral service beginning at 2PM. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
