Surrounded by her family, Donnagene “Donna” DeMent, 86 of Jackson, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, following a brief illness. Donna was born June 20th, 1937, to Raymond J. “Tommy” & B. Evelyn Thomas. She was the middle of three sisters who survive, Peggy (Bob) Miller, & Mary J. Mckinney.
On July 4th, 1959, Donnagene married the late Kenneth L. DeMent of Jackson, Ohio. They built a beautiful life together and have 4 children, who also survive, Kendra L DeMent, Michael T. DeMent (Helen Clark), Kimberly (Mark) Fry, and Karen (Dwayne) Jones.
She cherishes six grandchildren: Brittany (Tyler) Baisden, Brennan Wolford (Akira Kamitaki), Emily Fry, Nicholas Fry (Shelby Cleland), Maxwell Troxler, and Mason Troxler; as well as two great-grandchildren, Callie Grace Baisden and Carlie Jo Baisden.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth DeMent; her mother, Evelyn Thomas; and her father, Raymond Thomas.
Donnagene's greatest joy was her family and extended family. Memories, most notably from gathering on the hill with her family and friends, will be forever cherished.
