Donna Louise Canter-Eggers, age 88, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away May 13th, 2025, at Four Winds of Jackson. She was born May 18th, 1936, in Pyro, Ohio to the late Elijah Chester and Edith Jane (Davis) Canter.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Debra Eggers Browning; son, Darin Eggers; four grandchildren: Arron Ray Fortner, Lacie Lavonne Dudding, Terence "Seth" Fortner, and Daniel Isaiah Eggers; and nine great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Delbert Ray Eggers, whom she married on March 23rd, 1956; and siblings: Edna Avanelle “Abby” (Canter) Roseberry, Marvin Richard Canter, and Charles R. “Dicky” Canter.

After graduation, Donna worked at G.C. Murphy and then for the judge at the courthouse. She then started working for Oak Hill Hospital for the next 20 years. Upon retirement, Donna was asked to be Director of Oak Hill Food Pantry, which she did for the next 20 years fulfilling her love for helping people.

Donna was well known for her beautiful singing voice. She was a member of Trinity Wesleyan. Many times, she was asked to sing at local churches, as well as opening the Festival of Flags for several years. She loved being involved in the community and helping wherever needed. The local Masons held a recognition ceremony for her at the University of Rio Grande and honored her with a beautiful plaque.

What brought Donna the most joy was helping people and spending time with her family.
