Donna Evans, affectionately known to nearly everyone as “Mom” or “Grandma,” went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Lockbourne, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old.
Born on January 13, 1947, in Grayson, Kentucky, Donna’s life was marked by a steadfast faith, a nurturing heart, and a tireless devotion to her family and community. An alumna of Morehead University, she dedicated her life to serving others—as a teacher, a foster parent, and later as a compassionate home health aide. But of all her roles, Donna was most proud of being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Donna's legacy lives on through her daughters, Wendi and Carrie; her grandchildren: Tiffany, Pamela, Bryan, Ashley, and Anthony; and her great-grandchildren: Ryan, Elaina, Sophia, Thomas, Elizabeth, and Ayden. Her love and prayers covered them all, and her faith was a guiding light in their lives.
A devout follower of Jesus Christ, Donna weathered life’s storms with unwavering trust in the Lord. She was a faithful friend, a humble servant, and a powerful prayer warrior. She gave of herself freely and joyfully, and her faith inspired everyone blessed to know her.
Though her family mourns her passing, they rejoice in knowing that she is now whole and at peace in the presence of her Heavenly Father. Her life was a testament to God’s love and grace—and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, from 1PM-3PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with a service immediately after at 3PM with Rev. Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
