Deborah “Debbie” Ann (Sapp) Lloyd, passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Debbie was born on July 15, 1950, to parents ,Frances Roush (Sapp) Weber and John A. Sapp. She was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Robert E. Weber.


She is survived by her mother, Frances of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, loving husband, John Lloyd, son, Mark (Julie) Lloyd, and granddaughter, Ariana Lloyd all of Cincinnati, Ohio.


Debbie and John met at Otterbein University and were devoted to one another, recently celebrating 51 years of marriage. They resided in Jackson, Ohio until their recent move to Cincinnati to be closer to their only child, Mark, and his family. Debbie was a passionate teacher for 16 years before early retirement due to Multiple Sclerosis. The vast majority of her teaching was with Wellston City Schools where she also served as President of the Wellston Teachers Association. Longtime members of the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, Debbie and John sang in the choir for decades. One of Debbie's most important contributions to the community was her many years with the Lions Club even serving as District Governor. For many years, Debbie conceived and created beautiful, themed Christmas trees as part of a fundraiser benefiting the Cancer Society. The creative streak ran deep with Debbie-she was an avid painter, crafter, and made homemade greeting cards.


Calling hours will be held at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Friday, September 8th, 2023, from 10:30AM-12:30PM. Graveside services will then be held later in the day at 2PM at Hill Cemetery in Thurman, Ohio. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
