David Delbert Moore, 79, was ushered by angels into Heaven on June 5, 2025, at his
home in Oak Hill, Ohio. He was born on Cozy Glen in Oak Hill to the late Carl Milford
and Dessie Violet (Clark) Moore on October 22, 1945.
David graduated from the Oak Hill High School Class of 1963. He was a hard worker
who started mowing grass and doing odd jobs for countless people around town. He
worked at the former Abele Auto Sales and Barnett Ford from April 1969 through
December 1988 where he started as clean up, and quickly progressed to parts and
service manager earning many sales and service awards along the way, including a
gold medal for service in 1981. When Barnett Ford closed, he returned to mowing grass
and odd jobs until he was hired by the Oak Hill Union Local School District as a
custodian in 1990, where he worked until his retirement in 2017.
David’s passions included gardening, going to yard sales and flea markets, fishing and
hunting, and most of all trading whatever and whenever. He never turned down a good
trade!
