David “Boot” Howell, age 77, of Oak Hill passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his home. He was born March 20, 1945, in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Nelson and Mildred (Harris) Howell.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Bailey, of Oak Hill; granddaughter, Autumn Perkins, of Jackson; brother, Ralph Howell, of Columbus; and sisters, Connie Borden, of Bidwell, Ohio and Kathy Hariston, of Columbus.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Gloria (Davis) Howell; brother, Harold Howell; sisters, Sherry Nuckolls, and Fern Hundley.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 1, 2022, from 2-4 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Per his request, there will be no funeral after the visitation. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
