Danny Ray Bevins, age 71, passed away Thursday, December 10th, 2020 at his residence. He was born October 6th, 1949 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Willadean (Turner) Bevins.

Danny grew up on a small mountainside farm near Pikeville, Kentucky. He helped his dad raise chickens, goats, etc. and helped with all the work along with his siblings. As a boy, his passion grew for baseball. He played baseball until he graduated high school. After graduation, he moved out into the world. He worked in steel mills, coal mines, and security jobs until his retirement in 2014. He stayed retired for less than a year and then went back to work as a security guard again. He was a hard-working man. He enjoyed working out, riding motorcycles, hiking, camping, hunting, and so much more. He loved his kids, grandkids, family, and friends and would do anything for them. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his son, Danny R. Bevins Jr.; daughter, Dana R. Scanlon; fiancé, Kelly Harper; brother, Raymond Bevins Jr.; sisters: Patricia Gibson, Sandra Borchert, and Joyce Walker; granddaughters: Hailee Aika Bevins, Emilee Grace Bevins, and Annalise Nicole Bevins; and grandson, Liam Scalon.

No public services will be held and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Online condolences may be sent to
