Corey David Dunlap, age 34, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 5th, 2022. He was born October 22nd, 1988, in Chillicothe, Ohio to Michael D. Dunlap of Londonderry, Ohio and Teresa Dunlap of Jackson, Ohio.
Corey loved his family and career, leading the Nelsonville Rumpke garage. His love of machinery and farming started as a young child and only grew over time. Corey had a big heart and never knew a stranger, anyone who met him could call him a friend. He will be missed dearly by both his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by brother, Ryan (Kim) Dunlap of Londonderry, Ohio and Chad (Kristie) Michael of Circleville, Ohio; special nieces: Aleigh Michael, Harper Michael, Autumn Brewer, and Harley Dunlap; special cousin, Austin (Madison) Perkins; special aunts: Lisa Perkins, Tammy Ann Smith, and Linda Dunlap; and special uncles, Dean Dunlap, Ray (Donna) Dunlap; as well as special friends: Jarrod Harper, Austin Massie, and the Rumpke garage crew.
Corey is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Martha and Wiley Perkins; paternal grandparents, Ila and Willis Dunlap; sister, Brooke Dunlap; niece, Hannah Michael; stepmother, Wanda Mae Dunlap; and cousins, Dean Dunlap Jr. and Ronnie Brewer.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 13th, 2022, from 4-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14th, 2022, at 12PM at the funeral home with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery.
