Carol Lahrmer Blackburn, age 77, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed peacefully at her home and went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2024. She was born to Ernest “Dutch” and Rosa (Strickland) Lahrmer on December 23, 1946. She was one of thirteen children.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Blackburn and eleven siblings.
Carol is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Angel (Mick), and Melissa Conger (Tad). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kelli Saylor (Lee), Kody Boggs (Jourdan), Kyla Gamble (Dan), Morgan Marquis (James), Taylor Conger, Ethan Crabtree (Audrie) and twelve great-grandchildren, Brody, Brenleigh, Boone, Kenley, Clay, Kashton, Berklee, Briggs, Bremmi, Kai, Rayland, Hayden and one brother Darrel Lahrmer.
Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was very proud of her family. She was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church, and she loved spending time with family and friends. Carol enjoyed her time making quilts, sewing, visiting antique shops and flea markets. She will be missed by so many.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 12-2 PM at the Trinity Wesleyan Church in Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 at the church with Pastors Kevin Terry and Dave Staiger officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
