Barbara Rosalene (Leach) Copley, called Barb by her husband and Rose by most others, passed away Saturday, March 9th, 2024. She was born August 13th, 1932, in Jackson, Ohio to the late George E. and Helen (Sheline) Leach.
She worked at Evans Market for Bob Wiseman and then for Schaffer Supermarket before marriage.
Rose was a devoted wife and loving mother, supporting the activities of all her family.
Her favorite pastime was working in her yard and flower gardens and tending to her house plants.
Rose is survived by her husband of 71 years, Basil Copley; three children: Mike (Debbie) Copley, Susan (Rick) Hollback, and Jeff Copley; grandchildren: Tiffany, Ashley, Greg, Emily, Sierria, and Travis; six great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Doris Terry, Janet Fannin, Pat Rhea, Nancy Marks, Errol Leach, Karen Wickline, Ricky Leach, and Kathy Greer; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Betty Jean Morgan, Norma Riegel, Sharon Saunders, and Vicky Baxter; brothers, Jim Leach and Jerry Leach; cousin, Virginia Shields; daughter-in-law, Debbie Copley; son-in-law, Rick Hollback.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, from 6-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14th, 2024, at 3PM at the funeral home with Rev. Roger Hauck officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
