Aaron Michael Queen, age 46, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away April 4th, 2024, at Holzer of Jackson after a lengthy illness.

 

Aaron was born June 2nd, 1977, in Gallipolis, Ohio. He attended Rio Grande Elementary School and was a 1995 graduate of Oak Hill High School. During his high school years, he played several sports and had an immense love for them. Aaron officiated for football, baseball, and basketball. He also served as a clubhouse manager for the Chillicothe Paints for several years. He was involved with the University of Rio Grande sports since the age of 8. He spent his adult life chasing ballgames all around.

 

Aaron spent many years employed with Giovanni’s of Oak Hill. He enjoyed fishing and/or catching and release at Lake Jackson in his spare time. He also faithfully attended Trinity Wesleyan Church of Oak Hill, Ohio.

 

Another of Aaron’s pastimes was being a driver for the Amish community. He enjoyed nightly rides throughout the Amish countryside greeting them along the way.

 

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Skaggs; his father, Eric Michael “Mike” (Debbie) Queen; his brother, Phoenix (Amy) Queen; his maternal grandmother, Marlene Haydon (with whom he made his home); as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

 

Aaron is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy “Dottie” Queen and maternal grandfather, William Haydon.

 

The family will greet guests on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, from 12-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 2PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the University of Rio Grande athletic department.
