Vicky Ellen (Israel) Downey, age 67, passed away Monday April 22, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Vicky was born on April 15, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Inez Israel.
Vicky is survived by her significant other: Kit Nye; two children; Terry J. Downey and Eric Downey; four grandchildren: Jordan Downey, Sydney Downey, Jacob Downey, and Taylor Patrick; two great-grandchildren: Blake and Corey; two sisters: Rebecca (Mike) Davis and Penny (Mike) Landrum; two nephews: Jeremy (Heather) Davis and Justin (Krysta) Landrum; one niece: Cora (Tyler) Roach; and great nieces and nephews: Hannah, Kaiden, Emma, Memphis, Jeg, Knox, Brantley, Baron, and baby Roach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Terry W. Downey.
Per her wishes, a small service for family will be held on Thursday April 25th, 2024, at 1PM at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Jeff Argabright officiating. A burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
