Steven Carey Ghiloni

March 25, 1989 — May 30, 2026

Oak Hill

Steven Carey Ghiloni, who was so deeply loved by many, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 30, 2026, at the age of 37.

Steven brought joy to everyone he met. As the devoted father of two beautiful daughters, Harper and Sylvia, he was happiest by their side. He cherished every moment with them—whether playing at the park, taking them fishing, or joining in the imaginative games Harper loved to create. Steven was incredibly proud of his girls and made it his mission to fill their lives with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. His infectious laugh lives on, echoing in the giggles of Harper and Sylvie.

Steven had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and riding trails with his friends and his brothers, Carl and Chris, always embracing any chance to be outside. Together, they never met a challenge or adventure they didn’t take on, and their bond was one of unwavering love and strength.

Steven had a natural ability to make others smile and never missed an opportunity to share a joke. Even in difficult moments, he would calmly remind those around him, “Aww, it will be alright.” His steady spirit and positive outlook were a source of comfort to many.

Family meant everything to Steven. He treasured time spent with those closest to him. Some of his fondest memories were with his grandparents, Debbie and Carey Morgan, with Carey being like a father to him. His Grandma Debbie taught him how to cook her favorite recipes, while Pa-Pa Jr. instilled in him a love for hunting and the outdoors. Steven also enjoyed working alongside his grandpa in the upholstery shop, learning about interiors and cars. He shared a special bond with his Aunt Kelly and loved visiting her and her family on her trips to Ohio and his trips to Florida, where an adventure always awaited. He loved talking and sharing with her as well as seeking her counsel. He loved her like a sister.

Above all, Steven had an unbreakable bond with his mother, Patricia Coon. She held him in her arms when he entered this world and, with deep and profound love, held him again as he passed peacefully.

He is survived by his loving family: his mother, Patricia Coon; his “bonus” father, Billy Coon; his daughters, Harper and Sylvia; his brothers, Carl Ghiloni and Christopher Ghiloni; his grandparents, Carey and Debbie Morgan and Tobi Ghiloni; his aunt and uncle, Kelly and Troy Grossenbaugh; his cousins, Emily and Dylan Grossenbaugh and Joey Ghiloni; four “bonus” siblings through marriage; his close friends, Tony Mt. Castle and Mike Morgan Jr.; and the loving mother of his daughters, Marissa Greene.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Ghiloni; his son, Steven Carey Ghiloni Jr.; and his grandfather, Joe Ghiloni.

Life will never be the same without Steven, but he will forever be remembered as a loving son, father, grandson, nephew, and friend. We find comfort in knowing that his light lives on—in our memories and in the lives of his beautiful daughters. He will be loved and missed, forever and always.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 5th, 2026, from 12PM-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a funeral immediately after with Rev. Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
