Stephen Wayne Foster

Stephen Wayne Foster, age 69, of Waverly, Ohio passed away May 13th, 2026, at his home after a brief illness. He was born on March 11th, 1957, to the late Edgar and Kathleen Foster.

Stephen was a 1976 graduate of Jackson High School and continued his education at Shawnee State University. He devoted many years of his life as a computer programmer in Columbus, Tennessee, and Florida, the state with the weather he loved.

He enjoyed collecting and selling antiques, especially pigs. He had a love for pets, especially cats and dogs. He also enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his brother, Greg (Brenda) Foster; special friends, Jeff Chaney, Joyce and Darrell Owens; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by long-time companion, Stewart Morrell; sisters, Debbie Rose and Denise Gilliland; brother-in-law, Floyd Rose and Steve Gilliland; and nephew, Matt Rose.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, from 12-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a funeral immediately after at 2PM with Rev. Janie Karl officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
