Shirley Elizabeth Wheeler, age 82, of Jackson, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 25th, 2024, surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was born April 12th, 1941, in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Shirley enjoyed gardening and thrifting. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Wheeler; sons, Donnie (Bonnie) Gambill and Tommy Gambill; daughters: Susan (Scott) Swords, Paula Orozco, Tammy (Lee) Martin, and Jerri (Jason) Boland; bonus daughter, Kim Conley; grandchildren: Jason, Nathan, Sylvia, Scotty, Kayla, Chris, Adam, Danilo, Makenna, Hannah, Olivia, Noah, and Carter; several great-grandchildren; sister, Beulah Eldridge; and her little fur baby, muffin.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Violet Francis; daughter, Diana Gambill; grandchildren, Jennifer Gambill and Brandy Swords; and brother, Don Willis.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, from 12-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will follow at 2PM with Rev. Jerry Eaton officiating with a burial after at Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com .
