Rebecca “Becky” Ann Snyder-Fout, age 48, of Portsmouth, formerly of Oak Hill, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born on June 28, 1977, in Gallipolis, Ohio to Lillie (Spriggs) Snyder and the late Steve Snyder.
She is survived by her mother, Lillie Snyder, of Portsmouth; sons, Jacob (Savanah) Saunders, of Portsmouth, and Braydon Snyder, of Portsmouth; one grandson, Benjamin Saunders; brother, Brian (Tiffany) Lambert; sisters, Amanda (Darrell) Parsley, of Oak Hill; and Stefanie Snyder, of Portsmouth; and her aunt, Shelly Justice, of Wheelersburg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends, and her fur baby Chihuahua, “Pixie”.
In addition to her father Steve, she is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kayleigh; grandpa, Edison Spriggs, grandma, Peach Spriggs; uncles, Gary Spriggs and David Spriggs; and her grandma and grandpa Snyder.
Becky graduated from Jackson High School in 1996. She loved to listen to her Christian music 24/7. She constantly was trying to minister to people, even during her suffering, and tell them about Jesus Christ. Shopping was her favorite hobby, often for hours at a a time. She truly was a light in the darkness and loved her savior. She praised Jesus, even in the midst of her illness and pain. She will be greatly missed by her family who dearly loved her.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 1-3 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 with Pastor Travis Potts officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery. Organ transplantation is what kept Becky alive until this point. Organ donor awareness was extremely important to her.
