Randy Leo McDaniel

Randy Leo McDaniel, age 77, of Patriot, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 22nd, 2026, at Abbyshire Place. He was born March 12th, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Roy and Pearl (Skeens) McDaniel.

Randy was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a devout Christian filled with the Holy Spirit. Randy was an excellent woodworker, using his God-given talents for beautiful creations-namely the home he designed and built for him and his wife. He was also an avid fan of the Buckeyes.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Jett) McDaniel; his five children: Brett McDaniel, Marlana (Richard) Upton, Bryan Darst (Taylor Ebert), Christopher Yauger, and Jennifer Yauger; grandchildren: Meghan McDaniel, William Strom, Janelle Strom, Coraline Stroop, Adalyne Darst, Brentley Darst, Natalie Jackson, and Vincent Theiss; great-grandchildren: Daisy Strom, Elizabeth Miller, Helena Jackson, Sagelynn Theiss, and Evriella Theiss; several brothers and sisters; and mother and father-in-law, Jennings and Carol Jett.

A graveside service and interment with military honors will be held on Thursday, March 26th, at 1PM at Centerpoint Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
