Michael "Mike" Lee Roush

Michael “Mike” L. Roush, age 72, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. Mike was born July 18th, 1953, in Wellston, Ohio to the late Delbert and Emma Louise (Walker) Roush.

Mike was a proud Air Force Veteran, serving during Vietnam. He worked on B-52 bombers, was an engine mechanic, and worked on KC-135s. He was later employed by Austin powder, from which he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Alice (Miller) Roush; son, Shawn (Miranda) Roush; daughters, Staci (Jon) Hoffman and Tiffany (Bill) Speakman; grandchildren: Traci, Michael, Matthew, Mason, Allyson, Madison, Zachary, Tyler, Kevin, & Brett; great-grandchildren: Dominick, Greyson, Kinsley, Damian, Karson, and one great-grandson on the way.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Joanne Grow and Mary Louise and brother, Tom Roush.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, from 1PM-4PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a service immediately following at 4PM with military honors provided. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
