Mary Magdeline Cremeans

Mary M. Cremeans, age 91, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026. Mary was born in Greenup County, Kentucky to the late Chester and Laura Alpha (Carr) McKenzie.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Earl Cremeans, and is survived by her children Debra (John) Shewbrooks, Charles Cremeans, Lori (Cremeans) Peden and Tim (Pepper) Cremeans; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Eunice (Darrell) Stephenson, of Portsmouth, Ohio. Mary was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Cove, Ohio for many years.

She was the best wife, mother and grandmother you could ever have and will be greatly missed by her family. The family would like to express our thanks to the caring staff at the Bristol Village Memory Care facility who cared for mom with such compassion.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 5-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on 1:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2026, with Pastor Bill Goodall officiating. Burial will follow in Hanna Cemetery.
