Mary Edna Angel

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Mary Edna (Comer) Angel, after a long, extended illness on Friday, May 1, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, of 64 years, James “Cal” Angel; their children, Angie (Fred Gray) Angel, Annette “Chrissi” Angel, and James Michael “Mickey” (Sherry) Angel; grandchildren, Daniel (Farrah) Farney, Sky (Rob) Reisdorf, and Kyla (Dan) Gamble; and great grandchildren: Seth, Kensley, Caden, and Kaston; and her brother, James Jr. (Linda) Comer.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James Sr. and Seleene Comer.

Mary graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1964. While attending, she was a member of the band and a majorette. She loved music and could play piano from her heart. She retired from Robbins & Myers in Gallipolis.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 1-3 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Fred Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow in Moriah Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
