Martin Chester “Chet” Eldridge, age 89, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Monday, July 13th, 2020 at SOMC in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born January 12th, 1931 in Blaine, Kentucky to the late John Clinton and Pearlie May (Vanover) Eldridge.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Jean (Jerry) Burton, Charlotte (Mose) Norman, and Tracey (Steve) Little; sons, Eric Eldridge and Shannon (Kathy) Eldridge; 12 grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his son, Martin Chester Eldridge Jr.; daughter, Valerie Eldridge; granddaughter, Lyndsay Eldridge; sisters, Ellery Hay and Eldene Stonerock; brothers: Willard, Paul, Gene, Kenneth, Don, and Darrell Eldridge.

Chet was a life-long member of the Eagles Lodge 1546 in Jackson and enjoyed playing euchre with his friends.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 16th, 2020 at 1pm at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, we are asked to follow proper social distancing procedures and guidelines. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
